Santa Comes To Rathgill

Merry Christmas Rathgill!

Santa’s brand new state of the art sleigh was designed by the kind volunteers at Rathgill Community Association and Rathgill Solutions Ltd. On Thursday 15th December Santa was making the rounds, delivering some presents to the lucky children in the area. He was joined by carol singers from the Church of Nazarene, and together they made their way around the community, spreading cheer.

It wasn’t only the children who received presents- free home security lights and personal alarms were distributed alongside advice on how to keep homes safe during the holiday period. This “Keep Safe” Scheme was launched with the assistance of Fold Housing, Store House North Down, North Down Community Network, the PSNI, Tesco at Bloomfields and Crown Paints, Balloo.

Karen Worrall, the Community Development Worker here at Rathgill said, “We can’t thank everyone enough for their generosity and gifts.”

Overall, the event was a huge success and really got the community in the Christmas Spirit.
